Marriage Requires Work!

A successful, flourishing marriage is possible, but it requires work. A married couple must leave their parents, cleave to one another, and strive for a growing relationship with the Lord and each other. Oneness and intimacy with a spouse takes time and continued effort. Husbands and wives must be proactive to strengthen their marriages and keep them from failing like so many other marriages today.


 

A marriage can be compared to a garden. To create and maintain a beautiful, growing garden, one must continue to do the work necessary to care for it. The marriage relationship also requires proper maintenance to keep it growing, and beautiful. Do you want a dried up, unproductive, dead marriage? Do nothing. It will die on its own without any work at all. Without nurturing, caring and effort, any marriage will wither and die.
